Every business on this page had something already working. What they did not have was a full picture of how it connected, or a plan for what came next.
This is where those conversations lead. Real businesses, real sessions, and the change that followed once the gaps were found and the priorities were clear.
Your business could be earning more than it is. The only question is how much more.

Sarah's website business was growing. Five months in, she had three website builds booked, all of them coming directly from her free visibility check conversations. Her content was consistent and on-brand. Her data monitoring was thorough, tracking everything from Google Search Console to Facebook performance, generating around 30,000 views a month, through to LinkedIn profile visits, pulled together weekly to see what was actually working.
What she did not have was a picture of how her services and customer journey connected. She could see each individual piece clearly. She could not yet see the system those pieces were capable of forming together, and she suspected that was the reason her results were not matching the effort she was putting in.
Ahead of the call, I reviewed Sarah's business the same way I review every client's, her website, her social media, and her wider online presence, assessed against the Four Pillars of Trust, Consistency, Transparency, Accountability, Reliability. From that, I built a picture of her current business process, and mapped out what it could look like once properly connected. Before we had even spoken, I had already identified specific gaps in how her business was operating, evidence of where revenue was being left behind, something Sarah could not see, simply because she was too close to her own business to see it.
That map became the starting point for the session itself, not the finished answer. I asked the questions I had already identified from my review, and Sarah's answers gave me what only she could provide, the specific detail on her capacity, her goals, and the reality of the business she had actually built. From there, I built something grounded in full strategic oversight of how her business really operates.
The purpose was never to change what Sarah had built. It was to make it stronger, more connected, and to find where the revenue already sitting inside her business was being left unclaimed, so she could maximise the revenue streams she already had.
What became clear early on was that Sarah sat at the centre of almost every step of her own client process. Her free visibility check and free online foundations check were both converting well, every visibility check she committed to fully had led to a website build, but the time required to deliver them, and the level of guidance clients received before paying anything, meant her energy was going into the wrong place. Her results were proving her worth. The structure around them had not caught up.
We also looked at what was already working well and needed protecting rather than changed. Her qualifying conversations were doing real work, letting her assess fit before committing to a build. Her local, Facebook-group-led visibility was directly generating her paying clients. Her existing website clients were already agreeing monthly support budgets before their build was even finished, repeat revenue that needed almost no selling, only a follow-up structure that made it easy for them to say yes.
From there, we mapped how her services, social media, blog strategy, newsletter strategy, and client follow-up could connect into one system rather than existing as separate efforts. Sarah left with four clear priorities, in order, and a description of how each one led into the next.

Sarah described the session as valuable as gold. She was so enthusiastic that she began working on the suggestions before the day was out, ahead of even receiving her written deliverables, drafting her first new client document, a "your website has launched, what happens next" PDF, the same evening.
As she put it afterwards:
Nothing discussed was about changing her business. It was about enhancing what she had already built. In her own words:
She also noted something worth repeating to anyone unsure whether a session like this is worth having early:
1. Website launch document increasing repeat revenue
2. 48 downloads within 24hrs, before official launch
3. Free tools building trust before a service is ever sold
4. Found the confidence to double her prices, priced from evidence rather than fear
5. Landed her biggest project work yet
6. Repeat custom from existing clients, with no need to sell it
7. Referrals arriving on their own within a month
8. Fully booked for months
9. Business thinking changed, reshaping how she delivers to clients
10. Clear line now between what is free and what is paid, giving away less than before
11. Using her own data to make decisions, not instinct
12. One ecosystem now producing both large project income and smaller recurring income suited to her capacity
Sarah has implemented her website launch document, which now nurtures clients through to the follow-on services she had previously only touched on in a free session. This has already increased her revenue, and it supports her clients directly too. They were never going to feel abandoned after a website launch, Sarah would not have allowed that, but both sides are now clear on what happens next.
Sarah has also built a set of free visibility checks that business owners can complete themselves, replacing the free sessions she previously delivered in person, and designed to lead into a booked call to learn more. She has released the free checks on her website, and within twenty-four hours had 48 downloads, ahead of the official launch of her new way of working.
Since then, the thinking mapped in that one afternoon has kept producing results on its own. The lead magnet strategy discussed in the session became four real tools, built by Sarah herself, and they are already doing the job before anyone pays her a penny. One small business owner said a guide helped bring her back to reality and refocus on her original plan, describing successful businesses as built through small, practical steps rather than trying to do everything at once. Another said a second guide helped her think beyond what simply looks nice, to how her brand needs to work everywhere it appears. That is the free layer of a customer journey doing its job, building trust before a service is ever sold.
Sarah has also found the confidence to double her website prices since the session, following a strategic conversation about the true value of her work. She stopped pricing from fear and started pricing from evidence, a shift by her own account she is unlikely to have made without that conversation. Since then she has gone on to land some of her biggest website builds yet, including a full rebuild running to over twenty five pages for a business trading more than ten years.
The post-launch structure discussed in the session is producing the same pattern with paid work. Sarah's first ever client has since returned for an additional page, moved into blog support, had his social media optimised, and is now in an ongoing paid social media arrangement, all without Sarah needing to sell any of it. Within a month of the session, referrals had started arriving on their own and repeat business conversations were starting themselves rather than needing to be sold, the long term aim discussed in the room, arriving in weeks rather than the months expected. Sarah is now fully booked for months.
What changed underneath all of this was how Sarah started seeing her own business. Rather than a set of separate pages and services, she began to see one connected journey, and that shift reshaped how she delivers to her clients now, not just what she offers them. Her local search strategy, choosing to lead with one clear area rather than spreading her visibility thin, came directly out of that same connected thinking.
Sarah is also clearer now about what belongs in a paid service and what does not, having started out giving away more than she needed to. She is thinking in terms of the whole relationship a client goes on to have with her, not just the value of the first booking, and she is using her own data rather than instinct to decide what to change, watching where customers move through her website and where they drop off, then acting on what she actually finds rather than what she assumes. What used to be a set of individual services now functions as one ecosystem, each part leading into the next and supporting it, and both her clients and Google are beginning to understand what she offers as a result. That shift shows up in her revenue too, larger project income sitting alongside smaller recurring income from the ongoing services that fit around it, a mix that suits her capacity far better than needing to win a new large client every time she wants to earn.
Sarah planned to create a cornerstone blog as a result of the session and as she was building it she realised it served a better function as her new home page.
1,919 website page views (12 weeks)
461 homepage views (busiest page)
198 tools hub views (2nd busiest)
33 / 3 / 9.09% search impressions, clicks, CTR
Across the twelve weeks from 1st June to 28th August, Sarah's site recorded 1,919 page views. Her homepage was the single busiest page, at 461 views, but her free small business tools hub was not far behind, the second most viewed page on the entire site at 198 views. A free resource built to replace a time-consuming personal service is doing exactly the job it was built for.
That page is also starting to surface on its own. Google Search Console already shows it earning organic impressions, appearing in search results 33 times and generating 3 clicks, a click-through rate of 9.09% at an average position of 7.85. Real, measurable movement toward a page ranking on its own merit, not just traffic pushed to it from elsewhere.
Sessions like this rarely end where the document does. Weeks after her Funnel Strategy Session, Sarah wrote to share something neither of us had planned for. A single afternoon spent mapping her customer journey had gone on to reshape the entire structure and direction of her business.
It started small. In her words: "When we were working on what I thought was 'just another blog page,' I didn't realise we were actually creating the core of my business." That page became her new landing page, and with it, an entirely new way of introducing what she does.
But the real shift was in how Sarah started seeing her whole website. Once she understood her business as one connected journey rather than a set of separate pages, she went back and rebuilt her site's technical foundations to match, stripping months of accumulated schema markup back to a single clear structure built around what her business actually is, rather than what had simply been added over time. She sharpened her local search strategy too, choosing to lead with Cambridgeshire rather than spreading her visibility thin across the whole UK, and now ranks for exactly that.
None of this was in the original plan. As Sarah put it: "So what started as a funnel review has actually transformed the structure and direction of my whole website. I genuinely don't think I'd have arrived here without that initial conversation."
This is what a Funnel Strategy Session is built to do. Not simply hand over a list of actions, but change the lens through which a business owner sees everything they've already built, so that the next decision, and the one after that, starts coming from a clearer place. Sarah's landing page rebuild and schema overhaul were not on the agenda in the session itself. They were what happened once the thinking underneath the business changed.
